As TNT is part of the FedEx family of companies, this role will support the operations of both FedEx Express and TNT in Australia, and will be based at TNT’s Head Office in Mascot.

 

About the role:

Our Payroll team are dedicated to delivering efficient solutions for the business. As Senior Payroll Specialist you will lead payroll activities during an 11 month contract whilst the business implements SAP Global View. To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills to deliver accurate business updates.

  • Oversee and supervise a medium sized team
  • Monitor, audit and check accuracy of transactions, ensuring performance standards are met across the team, whilst ensuring delivery of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll using Meridian and Kronos
  • Support team with superannuation payments and queries, EBA/Award interpretations and taxation
  • Liaising with business partners and key stakeholders
  • Engage with team members and provide direction accordingly
  • Streamline processes, attention to detail and problem solve
  • Support the payroll manager with process improvement strategies and project implementation
  • Deliver to tight deadlines and set timeframes

 

Experience required:

  • 5 years’ experience in end to end Australian payroll
  • Meridian experience and knowledge
  • Worked within a large organisation
  • Knowledge of payroll related legislation, awards, taxation rules and superannuation
  • Payroll accounting and reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill
