We're looking for an experienced security leader to take ownership of security operations across a complex logistics and transportation environment. This is an opportunity to influence senior leaders, lead critical investigations, manage security risk and build a high-performing security function that supports one of the world's most trusted brands.

The Opportunity

Reporting to senior leadership, you'll be responsible for developing and executing security strategies that protect FedEx employees, facilities, freight and customers in line with the company’s corporate strategies.

You'll lead investigations, strengthen risk management processes, oversee security vendors and contracts, and ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate security requirements. You'll also play a key role in advising leaders on emerging risks and driving continuous improvement across the business.

This position leads the security team across Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and the South Pacific Islands. To support your team, frequent national and international travel will be required. 

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Leading security operations across multiple locations including regional security operations centre.
  • Conducting and overseeing complex investigations
  • Managing loss prevention and asset protection programs
  • Driving aviation, transport and operational security compliance
  • Managing security vendors, guarding services and contracts
  • Supporting executive protection and travel security requirements
  • Developing security policies, procedures and best-practice programs
  • Building relationships with government agencies and industry partners
  • Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing team
  • Managing the security team, compliance, projects, investigations across Australasia

What You Bring

  • Security leadership experience within logistics, aviation, transport, government, law enforcement or a similarly complex environment
  • A proven track record leading investigations and risk management programs
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving change
  • Strong leadership, coaching and team development capability
  • Excellent judgement, decision-making and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to balance commercial objectives with security and compliance requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and security industry certifications will be highly regarded
