Injury Management/Return to Work Coordinator

The Role
This role involves championing and supporting effective early injury management, intervention, and rehabilitation across your region in alignment with FedEx policies and procedures. You will also participate in initiatives related to health, safety, and well-being.
Additionally, this position contributes to the enhancement of FedEx’s corporate systems and overall performance.
Please note that this is a 12-month fixed-term contract for maternity cover. You are expected to work the PM shift from 11 PM to 7 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate early intervention for injury management immediately after a workplace injury or illness is reported through FedEx Early Care.
- Encourage recovery at work by providing practical assistance, support, and guidance to line managers in relation to Early Care following an injury report.
- Inform injured employees and their managers about their rights regarding workers' compensation and assist them in completing and submitting claim forms and other necessary administrative tasks.
- Promote health and wellness activities in collaboration with HWR, operational teams, HSE DG, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure CSR&Q responsibilities are fulfilled according to the framework documents for Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S), Environment, Quality, and Social Accountability within the relevant Management Systems.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements related to OH&S, Dangerous Goods, and Environmental legislation.
- Contribute to an environment of active, continuous improvement of processes, procedures, and systems.
- Strong administrative skills
- Relevant qualifications as a health professional, such as occupational therapist, physiotherapist, nurse, exercise physiologist, social worker, or case manager
- Knowledge of workplace injury management and strategies for recovery at work
- Understanding of workers' compensation principles
